FAQ’s

What style does Chloe teach?

Chloe mainly teaches Vinyasa Yoga, a style of Yoga most well known via pattabhi jois’ Ashtanga Vinyasa series. Vinyasa means to “place in a special way”. You’ll marry breath to movement; flowing through class with intention. Chloe also brings to bear techniques learnt from her Katonah Yoga training. A style of teaching that incorporates classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, sacred geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor and imagination in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being. Framing the practice with maps of time and personal space are defined and refined. Incorporating themes using asana as origami, manipulating form for function, and developing a sense of personal measure.

Practicing with Chloe is a small insight into her training with worldwide renowned teachers Anton Brandt, Tony Lupinacci, Grace Dubery and Celest Pereira (to name a few). She comes from a background of contemporary dance, so my style can be very fluid and earthy. Nothing is right or wrong, it’s always an exploration. We’ll play, challenge, create and transform.

I’m kinda new, will I find it too difficult?

Classes with Chloe will be uniquely catered towards all levels with lots of options to modify and adjust. Each morning will have a 90-minute pre-breakfast asana practice (if you get super hungry in the morning, have a handful of nuts/dates or a banana before class… nothing heavy) and most late afternoons’ a relaxing 60-75 minute class. Yoga is all about taking it at your own pace and a sweet exploration… no need to worry about what anyone else is doing. With that being said, it’s great to move with Chloe beforehand… So you get a feel for her and her teaching.
